10-week Group Guitar Classes
Guitar 1 (Beginner)
• One hour per week for 10 weeks
• Fee: $100
• Materials: $10 for printed materials and CD
• Class size: minimum of 4, maximum of 8
Entry level instruction for Beginners. Topics include tuning, playing and strumming chords, reading chord symbols and chord windows, how to read guitar tablature notation, rhythm notation studies, and other skills necessary to play rhythm guitar accompaniment for a singer.
• Includes a free guitar inspection day
• No previous musical experience is necessary
• minimum age of 10 years old, unless accompanied by an adult who can assist in the learning process.
• Students must provide their own instrument, electronic guitar tuner, and capo
Guitar 2 (Intermediate Beginner)
• One hour per week for 10 weeks
• Fee: $200
• Materials: $10 for printed materials and CD
• Class size: minimum of 4, maximum of 8
Applies Beginner skills previously learned in Guitar 1 to play easy Popular Rock songs. Topics include reading and navigating guitar sheet music, use of the capo to change vocal keys for the singer, playing more advanced strum patterns, and includes an introduction to scales used for Lead Guitar soloing.

Guitar 3 (Advanced Beginner)
• One hour per week for 10 weeks
• Fee: $200
• Materials: $10 for printed materials and CD
• Class size: minimum of 4, maximum of 8
Continues to build upon previously learned knowledge and techniques used in Guitar 1 and Guitar 2, and enables the students to play more complex songs from Popular Rock. Topics include introduction to “Drop D” tuning, introduction to Bar Chords, and includes an introduction to rock “Power Chords” and basic electric guitar techniques.
